The game got off to a flying start with two goals inside the first eight minutes, and directly after one another.
Barça took the lead through Robert Lewandowski, who stretched out to guide the ball into the net from close range for his 19th league goal of the season.
However, straight from the kick off, Sevilla moved the ball up the pitch, eventually leading to RubÊn Vargas smashing home at the back post.
Despite losing their lead so quickly, Barça stayed on top, having far more of the ball for the rest of the half. It took until the first minute of the second half, though, for them to regain their lead. FermĂn LĂłpez was the scorer, getting on the end of Pedri's beautifully weighted cross.
Raphinha made it 3-1 shortly after with a brilliant effort, turning on the ball before moving past a defender and rattling the ball past Ărjan Nyland.
LĂłpez was dismissed in the 62nd minute after a VAR review for his questionable challenge on Djibril Sow.
Despite having a player less, Hansi Flick's men held out with relative ease, and got a fourth in the 89th minute through Eric GarcĂa, who headed home after Raphinha's free-kick missed everyone.
The crucial win keeps Barça in third but they are now just a point behind AtlÊtico de Madrid in second, and two behind leaders Real Madrid.
