Verstappen storms to stunning Suzuka success as McLaren under fire

Formula One

Max Verstappen converted pole position into a fourth consecutive victory at the Japanese Grand Prix.

The reigning world champion broke the record for most wins at Suzuka in a row, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri having had no response in second or third.

Rain failed to impact what was a dry race, with Charles Leclerc and George Russell having completed the top five.

Mercedes' teenage sensation Kimi Antonelli finished sixth but also broke two F1 records – youngest driver to lead a race and youngest driver to claim the fastest lap.
